The filtration unit with petal shaped (plum shaped) cross section is beneficial to the adhesion of filter cake in the filtration process: the concave part of the filtration unit promotes the adhesion of filter cake when it is under pressure and ensures that the filter cake remains in the adhesion state throughout the whole cycle.

When the filtrate passes through the filter cloth, it flows to the bottom of the candle filter rod through a plurality of peripheral perforated pipes, and then flows up to the liquid collecting rod through the central pipe.

A plurality of peripheral perforated pipes can make filtrate flow downward to the bottom under the action of gravity; filtrate flows upward through the central pipe and into the collecting rod under the action of pressure. Whether the program is set to dry or wet discharge, discharge is achieved by introducing reverse pressure into the candle type filter rod.

The unique structure strengthens the reverse flow, which leads to the rapid outward expansion of the filter cloth, especially in the area where the filter cake adheres, leading to the vertical cracking of the filter cake. The instantaneous back blowing gas (such as air or nitrogen) in the filter cloth makes the cracked filter cake quickly throw away from the filter cloth. In the discharge process, there are no other moving parts except for the expansion of the filter cloth.
